Just a few more days until carving starts on Wednesday, June 25 at 7:00 AM.
This year we have carving Dan Richey (who has carved with us for many years) as has Brigitte Lochhead and Jesse Toso and also Steve Ordano (carving with Alisdair McLeod again). Returning are Ben Hemara, Tao Feng, Clinton Bleaney and Volker Steigemann and Max Chickite will be joining us midway through. A big welcome to Dave McKamey and Tyler Welfing, new to us but both great carvers.
Don’t forget to come down on Sunday, June 29 around noon and catch the auction of some really nice carvings from our carvers and when you come to Frank James Park during the week check out the 50/50 tickets ($5). If we sell them all then the winner would receive $7500 and Campbell River Shoreline Arts half goes towards putting this great show on again next year. Rumour has it that the giant spider that was on the wall next to the Tidemark Theatre may be auctioned as well.
